4 gunmen attacked the Pakistani stock exchange in Karachi, killing 2 guards and a policeman and wounding 7 others before being shot dead
The assailants launched a grenade attack at the main gate to the building and opened fire but police say they failed to make it to the trading floor.
Staff inside took refuge in locked rooms and many were evacuated. Security forces are searching the area.
Militants from the Baloch Liberation Army say they were behind the attack.
Constable Muhammad Rafiq & Constable Khalil deployed at the Pakistan Stock Exchange played a pivotal role in taking out the terrorists who tried to storm the PSX building in the country's commercial hub Karachi . All four terrorists have been killed and the situation contained.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) is one of half a dozen armed resistance groups in Balochistan and has launched previous attacks in Pakistan.
