The shooting incident happened near the center of Amsterdam, Grote Wittenburgerstraat. 1 person deceased, two persons brought to the hospital with unknown injuries. Police starting a major investigation.

Other incident occurred in a home on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal in Amsterdam Centrum

The Amsterdam police shot and killed a man who was suspected of stabbing another man just after midnight on Friday, the police said in a statement.

Both men were resuscitated. The stabbing victim was rushed to hospital. The man shot by the police was declared dead at the scene.
