Mirgayas Shirinskiy

M.M. Shirinsky was born in 1954, graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He speaks Arabic and English languages.

Diplomatic service:

1977-1978 – Russian Embassy in Egypt ;

1978-1982 – Russian Embassy in Yemen ;

1991-1993 – minister- counsellor of the USSR/ Russian Embassy in Yemen ;

1993-1996 – Consul General in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ;

2001-2002 – Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation in UNESCO, Paris;

2002-2006 – Deputy Director of History and Record Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

2006-2013 – Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of  Rwanda.

He is in diplomatic rank of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Envoy of first rank.

Married. Has a son.

23.08.2017 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of the Sudan: 

"The Russian ambassador died this evening at his Khartoum residence," the Sudanes ministry said. The ministry did not provide a cause of death.
