A nurse was found dead at her home after treating coronavirus patients without being given a face mask, according to her husband.

Danielle DiCenso, from Florida, began to show Covid-19 symptoms two weeks after she had worked long shifts with infected patients while not wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

The 33-year-old mum was a travelling nurse stationed in the ICU unit at Palemetto General Hospital.

Her husband David found her dead in her living room on Thursday after she placed herself in quarantine and her condition rapidly deteriorated.

He has claimed staff at the hospital didn't give her the right equipment.

She began showing symptoms on March 25 however the hospital continued to call her and see if she could come to work.

Her condition continued to worsen with a bad fever and a cough until David found his wife dead on Thursday morning.
