After training as a civil engineer at the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa and then at the Brussels Polytechnic School, and obtaining the degree of the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF), Thierry Leyne has spent the whole of his career in finance. As an independent entrepreneur, he has carried out investment and management activities in various companies since 1987. More specifically, throughout his career he has acquired experience as the founder and/or manager of companies exercising regulated activities under the aegis of the banking authorities and financial markets.

In 1988, he co-founded one of the first French management companies approved by the Stock Exchange Committee (COB). In 1996, he was one of the founders of Axfin (providing investment and financial transactions via the internet), listed on the stock exchange in 1999 and bought out by the German broker Consors (then resold to BNP Paribas). Throughout this period, Thierry was Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He also founded Assya Capital, a proprietary trading company listed on the Euronext Free Market in 2001.

The company merged with Global Equities Capital Markets in 2010 to become Assya Compagnie Financière, of which Thierry Leyne was Chairman of the Supervisory Board. In 2012, a spin-off by Assya Compagnie Financière enabled Thierry Leyne to buy out its international asset management (Assya Asset Management Luxembourg, Belgium, Romania, Switzerland, Monaco and Israel), private equity (Assya Capital Luxembourg) and insurance (FirstCaution in Switzerland) activities via the financial holding company Anatevka.

Thierry Leyne currently holds the position of CEO/Managing Director of the financial holding company Leyne Strauss-Kahn & Partners.
