Marie Anne Franziska Theresia Josepha Medarde of Austria (Vienna 8 June 1804 - Baden bei Wien 28 December 1858) was an Archduchess of Austria and the daughter of Franz II, Holy Roman Emperor and his second wife, Maria Theresa of Naples and Sicily.
Maria Anna was born 8 June 1804 at the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Hofburg, Vienna. As a daughter of the Holy Roman Emperor, she was born with the title Archduchess of Austria (Ihre Königliche Hoheit Erzherzogin von Österreich) and the style Imperial and Royal Highness. She is said to have been mentally deficient (like her eldest brother, Emperor Ferdinand I) and to have suffered from a hideous facial deformity. She spent almost her entire life confined to one apartment in the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna.
She died 28 December 1858 at Baden bei Wien (literally, "Baden near Vienna"), and is buried in the Imperial Crypt (Vienna). Her heart is buried in the Herzgruft in the Augustinerkirche.
