Lieutenant Colonel of the Russian Armed Forces Dmitry Lissitzky shot himself in his apartment in Stavropol after the failure of the Russian Armed Forces in southern Ukraine This was reported by the BBC Russian Service on June 21. ,
According to people close to the Russian officer, his death is connected with the unsuccessful "meat assaults" in 2022 under the leadership of General Arkady Marzoev. Lissitzky could not survive the shame of failure after participating in such operations.
