Gennadi Ivanovich Poloka (born July 15, 1930, Samara) is a Russian film director, actor and producer. He was awarded "People's Artist of Russia" in 1998.
Education
From 1948 to 1950, Poloka studied at M.S. Schepkin Higher Theatre School (Institute). In 1957 he graduated from VGIK.
Career
His film Возвращение броненосц won Kinotavr in 1996. His other prominent films are Республика ШКИД, and Интервенция with Vladimir Visotsky. They were banned by Soviet authorities.
