Chess player and chess composer of chess problems and endgame studies

Life                                                                                                                                                                                              Born in Stoke-on-Trent. He was Pharmaceutical as profession.

Chess composition

He began to compose at twenty years of age and managed to create throughout his life about 1750 chess problems of various genres. He was therefore a very experienced chess composer.

President of a chess composer magazine

In 1945 he was elected president of the "British Chess Problem Society".
