Suaminatha Subrahmanyam (06.06.1893 - 21.07.1972) 

Indian chess composer

He was one of the fathers of Indian problem chess. Of his 300 or so chess compositions, most are two-move art -pieces in the good-companion style. In 1959 he was appointed chess composition judge by the PCCC.
