Hungarian-American chess composer and International Master (IM)

Aurél Kárpáti was an excellent representative of the Hungarian helpmate chess school and he also composed selfmates in chess.
He was for a short time the editor of "Magyar Sakkvilag" and he wrote "Ábrand és valóság : Kárpáti Aurél válogatott feladványai" (Fact and fiction: Selected problems of Aurel Karpati)
