Chess composer
He was editor of the Viennese magazine Das Rätsel - through which Werner Speckmann came to problem chess in 1929 - and in 1930 published the International Gallery of Modern Problem Chess Composers, a forerunner of Peter Kniest's Caissas Schloßbewohner.
