Giovanni Battista Valle (01.01.1843-14.01.1905)

Chess composer

He edited the problem section of the Italian Nuova Revista degli Scacchi from 1875 to 1902. A collection of 100 of his chess problems was published in 1878. In 1891 he published a book on the art of composing problems, which was republished in 1929, long after his death.
