Guy Sobrecases (1965–2024) was a French FIDE Master and chess composer known for creating helpmates and fairy problems. He served as the fairy editor for "Problemaz" and "Problemonline" and was highly recognized in the chess composition community, even placing 10th in the 2007 world championship for composition.
