His first composition was published in 1954,
In the same year he achieved his first competition success. Number of published studies: 66. Of the 57 works participating in the competition, 52 received awards. His works received 39 prizes, including 18 first prizes, 10 commendations and 3 recognitions.
There are 9 of his studies in the FIDE albums. He is a ten-time academic champion and perennial champion and one-time II finished in place.
In addition to his studies, he also occasionally wrote multi-stage checkmate puzzles.
He was a judge four times at the international academic competitions of Hungarian chess. He has written several specialist articles.
He was a successful member of the chess team and the puzzle department of Tipográfia TE for many years and from 1976 he headed the puzzle department.
He claimed to be a student of Jenő Bán.
