Bernhard Rehm

Bernhard Rehm (14.01.1899-26.01.1971) was an enthusiastic friend of fairytale chess and a prolific chess composer who, according to estimates by his namesake Hans Peter Rehm, who was not related to him, composed around 1200 to 1500 chess problems. In addition to long moves and auxiliary mates, he was particularly fond of fairy-tale pieces that enable novel effects that are impossible in orthodox chess, such as the grasshopper, which he frequently used.
