Bratoljub Gruber

The Yugoslav chess player and chess composer Bratoljub Gruber (1925-6.10.1967),

who died half a century ago, was initially a chess player specialising in opening theory, but then turned to composition, in particular two-move pieces of the white-to-play type. He remained true to this style even after the advent of virtual themes and endeavoured to bring about a renaissance of this old style of chess composition.
