Cornelis (Cor) Goldschmeding (7.7.1927-5.2.1995)
Chess composer
Cornelis (Cor) Goldschmeding (* 7 July 1927; † 5 February 1995) was a Dutch chess composer.
Goldschmeding's life
Goldschmeding studied economics in Amsterdam. He then worked for the Chamber of Commerce, first as an adjunct in Amsterdam and finally as secretary (director) in Arnhem. He was on the board of the Nederlandse Bond van Probleemvrienden and a member of the executive committee of the PCCC.
Chess composition
Goldschmeding published his first problem at the age of 12. His oeuvre comprises around 700 chess problems, the majority of which are two-move problems. However, Goldschmeding was also very successful with three-movers and occasionally with multiple-movers, auxiliary mates and fairytale chess problems. In 1958 he was appointed international adjudicator for chess composition. He had been Grand Master of Chess Composition since 1988. Source: wikipedia.de
