Evgeny Ivanovich Dvizov (Belarussia, 15.01.1937 - 30.01.2012)

Chess composer of studies, publicist and teacher

Chess composing:

Honoured Belarusian composer and publicist, born in Gomel, living in Zhlobin, teacher and chess coach. He began composing in 1964 and in just over 20 years created 12 problems and about 110 studios, receiving various awards in this speciality: 7 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 1 third prize and 30 different awards, and he continued to compose.

Professor Dvizov, candidate teacher of chess composition, is the main reference for studying in Belarus. Dvizov's aesthetic ideal as a composer upholds the principle that "beauty is always preferable to difficulty", and for this reason, although he usually uses various combinations of pieces in his works, where the participation of queens is related to the difficulty, the idea and development of the game keep them at the highest artistic level.
