Chess composer and chess player of first category of the city of Sverdlovsk, of technical engineer profession, that since 1979 has been dedicated to the composition of chess studies.
The production of the engineer Kalyagin includes works of different character, which present artistic ideas sometimes original.
He has made an important number of studies with other composers of his country.
