Tributes have flooded in for Bellator MMA veteran Katy Collins, who has died aged 32.

The fighter passed away yesterday, following complications from a brain aneurysm last week. She died surrounded by her family in Branson, Missouri.

Her death was confirmed by trainer J.T Tilley on Facebook. "The fight is over, he wrote, "You never stopped fighting and we never gave up on you. Just wasn’t in the card." Tilley continued: "I’ve always been so proud of you Kate. We did it... I wouldn’t trade it for anything. "I will miss you more than the world will ever know." Other heartbroken friends left tributes for the star on Facebook.

Pal Gary Farish wrote: “The world and the fight game has lost a beautiful and talented competitor. “I will miss you Katy Collins but you will never be forgotten. We have shared blood sweat and tears together I have been your friend since the beginning and will always be a friend.” The mum — who became known as the "red dragon" — compiled a 7-4 record over her short three-year career.

She is survived by her two sons. Kate’s sister, Kimberly, had kept worried fans updated on Facebook as her health deteriorated. “Yesterday morning Katy had an aneurysm that caused a stroke and that caused seizures!” she wrote. “They done a procedure yesterday morning and the first one didn't work, it ruptured again!” “They rushed her for a second one and it took at this time! Now she is fighting with some swelling of the brain and fluids.”

On Tuesday, she said: "Sister I will not stop praying for you until GOD makes his decision! "Words cannot express how much I love you!"

Katy Collins fought on the amateur circuit before turning professional in 2015.

She was known as the Red Dragon.

In her three-year professional career, she had a record of seven wins and five defeats.

She fought for several mixed martial arts promoters including Bellator.

"I will miss you more than the world will ever know," her coach wrote.
