Alo Klaassepp

A fifth Estonian who fought as a volunteer soldier against Russian forces was killed in Ukraine.

Alo Klaassepp, 25, was killed on June 25 in the Oskol River area near the town of Borova in the Kharkiv region. His death was confirmed on Thursday by his unit mates from the Ukrainian 3rd Assault Brigade.

Alo, originally from Pärnu, joined the Ukrainian armed forces, which have been fighting against a full-scale Russian offensive for over three years, this winter. He was part of the so-called international battalion, which was only created this year, in the famous 3rd Assault Brigade.
