Ruslan Leontyevich Evkodimov is a Russian military leader, Guards Major General (2024), and commander of the 98th Guards Airborne Division. In January 2026, he was seriously wounded near the village of Kostogryzove in the Kherson region when an explosive device detonated under the vehicle he was riding in.

Born in Shuya on December 4, 1977.
In 1996, he entered the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School, Twice Red Banner, named after General of the Army V.F. Margelov. He graduated from the school in 2001.
After graduating from the academy, he was assigned to the 217th Guards Ivanovsky Order of Kutuzov Parachute Regiment of the 98th Guards Svirskaya Red Banner and Order of Kutuzov Airborne Division named after the 70th Anniversary of the Great October Revolution.
He served as a battalion commander in the 31st Separate Guards Airborne Assault Order of Kutuzov Brigade.
In 2010, he graduated from the Combined Arms Orders of Zhukov, Lenin, and the October Revolution, Red Banner, and Orders of Suvorov Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
He served as Chief of Staff of the 242nd Training Center for Junior Specialists of the Airborne Troops.
In 2015, he was appointed commander of the 11th Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade[1][2].
He took part in Russia's military operation in the Syrian Arab Republic.
In 2020, he entered the Order of Lenin, Red Banner, Orders of Suvorov, and Kutuzov Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. He graduated in 2021.
In 2021, he was appointed commander of the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Order of Suvorov, Twice Red Banner Command School named after General of the Army V.F. Margelov[3].
On May 9, 2021, he took part in the parade on Red Square dedicated to the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
