Anastazja Patrycja Rubińska (in English/Latin transcription often Anastasia-Patricia Rubinska or Anastazja Rubinska) was a 27-year-old Polish girl from Wrocław, Poland.Year of birth approximately 1996 (the exact date and day are not publicly indicated in any source – only the year). She was born in Wrocław (she was called “wrocławianka” – a resident of Wrocław). She graduated from the Wrocław Hairdressing Technical School (wrocławskie technikum fryzjerskie). She worked seasonally in the tourism sector – in hotels and restaurants.
In the summer of 2023, she worked together with her boyfriend (also Polish) in a five-star hotel in the village of Marmari on the Greek island of Kos.She lived together with her long-term boyfriend in Wrocław.
They both went to Greece together for seasonal work.Anastazja Patrycja Rubińska was active on Instagram (
@anastazja_pati ( the account is probably already closed) – she posted photos from her travels from Barcelona, Curaçao, Milan and other places – approximately 11 thousand followers. She also had a Facebook profile (@anastazja.pati1).
Her name became widely known only after the tragic incident on 12 June 2023, when she disappeared on the island of Kos. She went to the shop for a drink on her day off, still managed to contact her boyfriend, telling him that she did not feel safe, and… disappeared. Her body was found after 6 days – on 18 June.12 June 2023 — Anastazja ended up in a bar/shop where she met a group of men (including a Bangladeshi citizen Salahuddin S., approximately 32–33 years old). She was under the influence of alcohol, contacted her boyfriend, said she did not feel safe, sent him her exact location and asked him to come and pick her up as soon as possible. After a while she reported that someone would take her on a scooter. After that, contact was lost. The last footage from the bar’s surveillance cameras shows that she left with Salahuddin S. on a scooter in the direction of his place of residence. Her boyfriend arrived at the indicated place, but she was no longer there, her phone was switched off. He immediately reported the girl’s disappearance.18 June 2023 (after 6 days) — a volunteer search group found her naked body in a salt marsh (in the Alykes area, near Tigaki), approximately 1 kilometre from the suspect’s house. The body was wrapped in a sheet and a plastic bag, covered with branches and leaves.Death occurred due to suffocation (strangulation). There were clear signs of sexual violence and torture – remnants of insulating tape on the body, signs of a struggle. According to forensic experts, she was possibly tortured for several hours. The police very quickly found and detained Salahuddin S. (a Bangladeshi citizen), who was arrested immediately a day before the murdered woman’s body was found. During the necessary investigative actions in his house, Anastazja’s blood and hair were found on a T-shirt, and he himself had scratches on his face and hands. At first he did not deny sexual contact, later, after receiving advice, he categorically denied it. In the history of his phone it was possible to trace the route related to hiding the body.Court proceedings and verdict
From 2 to 6 December 2024, the Greek court quickly considered the case without delay. He was found guilty of kidnapping, rape and murder with intent, and sentenced to life imprisonment plus 13 years. The convicted person will remain in one of the Greek prisons for the rest of his life and will be maintained at the expense of taxpayers’ money, unless left-wing wokist activists prove that Greece did not take all measures for the thorough integration and inclusion of the Bangladeshi migrant in his new place of residence. Very often, in the name of incomprehensible humanism, guilty and convicted immigrants are declared mentally ill, thereby softening the punishment and the regime in places of serving the sentence.Poland followed the case very closely, there were even talks about extradition to Poland, but the trial took place in Greece. Anastazja’s father said after the verdict that the punishment was deserved, but it would not bring his daughter back. This tragedy greatly shocked Poland, where many spoke about security problems in seasonal tourism work, about migrant crime, putting forward demands to Polish politicians not to allow immigration processes in their country.
