Bodia Slem

On 19 May, a close friend & fellow comrade of many anarchist organizations in Ukraine, Bodia Slem, an aerial reconnaissance officer serving with the ‘CODE 9.2’ unit on the Zaporizhzhia front, was killed in action.

From our youth, we fought together on the streets, painted graffiti, hiked in the mountains, trained and attended concerts. We spent most of our time together in the war. You were always brave, cheerful, loved this work, loved shooting, having chosen armed struggle against the empire.” – Eco-Platform

“Bodia was one of the fighters we supported. An anarchist and an active member of the hardcore scene, he was someone without whom it was hard to imagine hardcore and punk gigs in Kharkiv. In March 2022, he volunteered to go to the front, seeing the true spirit of punk rock in his struggle. Our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and comrades.
