Ft. Sgt Thomas Kazimir Hubert, 317 Polish Wing of the RAF 1944-46, died today. He flew Spitfires and Hurricanes during the last year of the war.

I believe that he had two confirmed kills and one probable. He was a hero of Ghent when elements of his squadron refused to evacuate during the battle of Boden Platte and stayed to defend the city and surrounding areas
