Inara Buda-Vieze, 87, born in Aluksne, Latvia (Baltic States) passed away peacefully April 22, 2016. She was the daughter of late Lucie and Alfons Strautman. During WWII the family lived in DP camps (displaced persons’) and after the war they arrived in USA.
She resided in Colonie since 1955 and worked for Albany Savings Bank for 35 years (Auditing Department) from where she retired in 1990. She was active in American Latvian Lutheran Church for 35 years by serving as ladies auxiliary president.

She was a member of Albany Institute of Banking (AIB) and Bank Women of the Capital District. She belonged to Colonie Village Fire Department ladies auxiliary.

Inara loved bowling, cooking for her family and enjoyed watching NFL football. She was a fan of all the New York teams especially the New York Giants.

She was predeceased by her husbands, civil engineer Leo J. Buda and Dr. Janis W. Vieze.
Inara is survived by her children Ina Hvizdak (Keith), Inta Grymin (Joseph), Leo Buda (Donna), Edmund Buda (Susan) and David Buda (MaryJane). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Timothy Hvizdak (Sherri), Todd Hvizdak (Erin), Kristen Blanchard (Paul), Aimee Grymin, David Grymin, Erica Doran (Steve), Matthew Buda (Amanda), Holly Buda, David Izzo and Daniel Izzo (Jessica), great grandchildren; Moriah, Emmalyne, Ellsbeth, Tobias and Tyler Hvizdak, Austin and Madison Blanchard, Luca Grymin, Cameron Doran, Aria Buda, Gavin, Aleigh &, Arianna Izzo.
She is also survived by her brother Agris "Gus" Strautman (Irma Gonzalez) of San Antonio, Texas.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
