Paolo Zantelli (died September 16, 2013) was an Italian F2 racing boat pilot, known for winning two gold European championships, and one silver and one bronze.
Zantelli died in hospital at the age of 48, after his racing boat collided with another boat, leaving him underwater and unconscious.

Champion Zantelli killed in Italy's powerboat collision MILAN, Italy, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- UIM F2 powerboat racing pilot Paolo Zantelli was killed on Sunday as two powerboats collided near Italy's Milan, local reports said.The 48-year-old pilot remained underwater, probably unconscious, for some time after his powerboat hit another one and capsized at the Idroscalo, an artificial lake near Milan, during a grand prix race.
He died later in the day after he was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical conditions, according to Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera.
Zantelli was considered Italy's leading expert of his sports category. In his 17-year-old career in the UIM F2, he won two gold, two silver and one bronze medals in European championships.
