Miķelis Golts

Artist Miķelis Golts said:

  "I was born in a village Rucava ar Christmas in 1922. Since the age of five my town is Liepaja. I mastered the education of artist at private studies and at the secondary school of applied arts of Liepaja. I took part at the exhibitions from 1947. My works of art have been displayed in the USA, Italy, Japan, Russia and Sweden. Paintings are placed in the fund of the Union of artists of Latvia in the State Museum of Art, in Liepaja Museum and private collections in Latvia and abroad.  I have been a member of the Union of artists since 1973. 24 one-man shows have been organized. My paintings have been made in my own developed technique. Textures make great sense there."
