Harry Meyen (born as Harald Haubenstock, 31 August 1924 – 15 April 1979) was a German film actor. He appeared in more than 40 films and television productions between 1948 and 1975. In the 1960s he worked as a successful theatre director in West Germany.
Personal life
Meyen was the son of a Jewish family in Hamburg and was incarcerated during the Nazi regime. He survived the Neuengamme concentration camp.
In July 1966 he married actress Romy Schneider until their divorce in 1975. Their son David Christopher (3 December 1966 – 5 July 1981) died in an accident two years after Meyen's suicide in 1979 in Hamburg.
