Life

He was born in Buenos Aires in and began to stand out as a composer in the 1940s with several endgame studies that attracted the attention of connoisseurs. In those years he was a member of the ‘brotherhood of study composers’ whose chess gatherings were held at the now defunct Círculo de Ajedrez de Buenos Aires, sometimes ending at dawn.

But life, like chess, has its demands, and Parentí stopped composing for thirty years, until he met Eng. In time, this friendship was the reunion with composition and the beginning of a deep collaborative work that in three years has produced more than ten works, some of them distinguished in international competitions. Parenti was, above all, a true master in the art of creating original thematic ideas.
