Jan Roar Leikvoll

Jan Roar Leikvoll (1974-1 August 2014) was a Norwegian author. He made his literary debut in 2008 with the novel A Winter Story, followed by The Violins (2010),

The Bovara Monastery (2012) and The Songbird in 2013, all on the publishing house Det Norske Samlaget. He was awarded Nynorsk Literature Prize for The Violins and Stig Sæterbakkens memorial prize for his three first novels. Leikvoll died on 1 August 2014.
